The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for attracting, sourcing, and hiring top talent for Click Learning, with a strong focus on building and maintaining a national talent network to fill vacancies as quickly as possible.
This role is key in recruiting from the communities we serve, identifying talent within the organisation and developing best-practice talent acquisition strategies.
Given the challenges of recruiting in a non-profit environment, the incumbent must be skilled at selling Click Learning's mission to candidates.
They will also ensure a seamless recruitment process, from job profiling to onboarding, while driving diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a strong national talent network to source high-quality candidates.
- Proactively identify, attract, and recruit top talent, particularly within the NPO and social impact sectors.
- Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements and create engaging job adverts that highlight Click Learning's mission.
- Use creative sourcing strategies, including community-based recruitment, social media, and industry events.
- Lead the end-to-end recruitment process, from job specification to candidate onboarding.
- Engage with recruitment agencies, job boards, and professional networks to reach a diverse talent pool.
- Screen, shortlist, and conduct initial interviews to assess cultural fit and mission alignment.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience, keeping candidates engaged throughout the hiring process.
- Maintain accurate records of candidate interactions and job placements.
- Effectively sell Click Learning's mission and impact to attract candidates despite financial constraints.
- Develop innovative ways to position Click Learning as an employer of choice.
- Build relationships with universities, industry associations, and professional groups to promote careers in social impact.
- Align internal & external initiatives with Employer Brand Proposition Strategy.
- Provide input on best-practice talent acquisition strategies to enhance recruitment efforts.
- Analyse recruitment metrics and trends to continuously improve hiring effectiveness.
- Support the design and execution of diversity hiring initiatives.
- Ensure recruitment practices align with Click Learning's Talent Philosophy & Strategy.
- Develop hiring strategies to recruit talent from the communities Click Learning serves.
- Work with local leaders, schools, and community organisations to identify potential candidates.
- Promote internal mobility and career progression for local talent.
- Collaborate with the youth department and the Talent Engagement Coordinator to drive inclusion and engagement in supporting best hiring practices.

Qualifications and Work Experience
- A degree or diploma in Human Resources or related field.
- 5+ years of end-to-end recruitment experience.
- Strong existing network of professionals and talent pipelines across South Africa.
- Experience in community-based recruitment and sourcing talent at grassroots level.
- Proven ability to recruit for specialist roles in a highly competitive talent market.
- Proficiency in recruitment software, LinkedIn Recruiter, applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR software.
- Understanding of compliance and confidentiality in recruitment.
