Job description

Global food manufacturing organisation requires a Marketing Manager, located in Johannesburg, who will report to the Consumer Director.

POSITION INFO : Purpose :

To contribute to the delivery of overall business objectives by delivering brand objectives through the development and management of market and brand strategies and their detailed execution.

The incumbent will maintain a motivated and productive team – work and collaborate across the business and with external partners and service providers.

Requirements :

  • Marketing degree / diploma or other relevant business qualification
  • Min. 10 years’ experience in Senior Brand or Marketing Management role in FMCG

Duties include :

  • Develop and execute annual market and brands strategy to support company objectives
  • Develop, manage, co-ordinate and execute marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, social and traditional media) driving brand desirability
  • Manage, maintain and grow the brand equity
  • Manage the profitability of the brands by managing the annual budgets, to deliver margin and profit objectives across the portfolio
  • Analyse campaign performance metrics to assess effectiveness of spend and adjust future executions based on insight derived
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer insights
  • Track and analyse the productivity of the whole product portfolio and range
  • Manage initiation to launch by ensuring that all required processes are delivered, aligned with overall business strategy
  • Collaborate with all relevant internal and external parties
  • Ensure that all marketing brand guidelines, brand identity, packaging spec sheets and design guidelines are adhered to
  • Drive brand visibility, develop relevant marketing material including store signage, POS, display units and store activations
  • Manage campaign and promotional in-trade executional excellence
  • Develop and implement campaigns across media channels and monitor performance
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis
