Our Client, a market leader in the Data / Voice, Communications and IT space, is seeking to employ an experienced and business-minded Marketing Manager to their team based in Sandton, Gauteng.

This is a middle / senior management vacancy with a salary commensurate to the position.

The Marketing Manager ensures alignment across functions to drive demand, support business growth, and maintain a strong market presence. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution and has proven experience in a B2B or industrial sector.

To secure, marketing experience is required in the following areas: Data / voice and communications industry, software development and IT industry and working with internationally based clients.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A postgraduate qualification (e.g., MBA or CIM certification) is an advantage.
  • 5–7 years of experience in marketing, with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Experience in an OEM, industrial, or B2B technical environment is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams, even without direct authority.
  • Strong presentation skills, both in-person and virtually.
  • Proven ability to build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
HR Management
  • Lead and develop a marketing team, which may include subordinates such as graphic designers, content creators, and digital marketing staff, both in-house and outsourced.
  • Set clear performance objectives and KPIs; conduct regular performance reviews and provide mentorship.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with product, sales, and technical teams.
Brand Management
  • Maintain and enhance brand identity, ensuring consistency across all marketing materials and communication channels.
  • Act as brand custodian to enforce brand guidelines internally and with external partners or distributors.
Marketing Strategy & Planning
  • Develop and execute an annual marketing plan aligned with overall business objectives and sales targets.
  • Manage the marketing budget and allocate resources effectively across campaigns and initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on ROI for all marketing activities and campaigns.
Product Marketing & Collateral
  • Create and maintain marketing collateral such as brochures, datasheets, product guides, case studies, and sales kits.
  • Work closely with product managers and engineers to translate technical features into customer-focused value propositions.
  • Support new product launches with comprehensive go-to-market strategies and supporting materials.
Digital & Social Media Management
  • Oversee digital marketing efforts, including website content management, SEO/SEM, email marketing, and paid advertising.
  • Manage social media presence on platforms such as LinkedIn, YouTube, and other industry-relevant channels.
  • Analyse digital marketing performance metrics and optimise campaigns accordingly.
Events & Trade Shows
  • Plan and coordinate participation in trade shows, industry conferences, and customer-facing events.
  • Develop event strategies that support lead generation and brand positioning goals.
Internal & External Communication
  • Manage public relations and media interactions, including drafting press releases and editorial content.
  • Support internal communication to ensure alignment across teams on brand messaging and product positioning.
