Job description

Main job function

  • Strategy & Planning
  • Conduct a full brand audit to understand where we are — and where we could go
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy across digital and traditional channels
  • Build our marketing infrastructure, tools, and processes from the ground up
  • Lead a full social media revamp: create strategy, build content calendars, schedule posts, manage the community, and report on performance (organic & paid)
  • Create compelling digital content — from writing posts to designing visuals, producing video content and more
  • Manage and execute email marketing campaigns, including list segmentation, content development, and reporting
  • Oversee content creation across formats: copywriting, design, photography, videography
  • Oversee below-the-line marketing initiatives including in-store point of sale, packaging, branded uniforms, activations, and trade shows
  • Work closely with external creatives and agencies (as needed)
  • Oversee the revamp and ongoing management of our website (UX, content, SEO, etc.)
  • Ensure our online presence reflects our brand and supports business goals
  • Motivate for and manage the marketing budget
  • Work hand-in-hand with our Key Account Manager to align on campaigns, retail initiatives, and promotional strategies
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools and technologies to enhance marketing strategy, content

Qualifications

  • Grade 12
  • Relevant marketing qualification advantageous

Criteria

  • Minimum 5 years of marketing experience, ideally in FMCG (food/grocery retail sector experience essential)
  • Proven track record in developing and executing marketing strategies
  • Experience managing digital platforms and content creation
  • Strong understanding of social media, email marketing, and website management
  • Proficiency in marketing tools (e.g. Meta Ads Manager, Mailchimp/Klaviyo, Canva/Adobe Suite, Google Analytics)

Salary

R40’000 – R60’000 CTC
