Job summary

Kromco (Pty) Ltd. is seeking a commercially driven Marketing Manager to expand international markets and strengthen relationships with customers and distributors.

The role requires strong market insight, international export experience, and a track record of developing sustainable business ties. Based near Grabouw, the candidate will oversee strategies across the Middle East and Asia, manage accounts, and drive growth while coordinating with internal teams to optimise performance and logistics.

Qualifications

• Degree in Marketing, Commerce or International Business.
• 5+ years marketing/commercial experience in fresh produce exports.
• Experience with international customers and distributors.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement market strategies across the Middle East, South Asia and Southeast Asia.
• Manage international customer accounts and build strong business relationships.
• Identify new business opportunities, market trends and growth areas.
• Oversee sales planning, forecasting, stock, packing and quality requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to optimise business performance.
• Monitor markets, competitors, pricing and customer needs.
• Manage supply chain costs, logistics and Incoterms.
• Represent the company at international trade shows and customer meetings.
• Prepare forecasts, reports and strategic recommendations.
• Drive commercial growth and maximise producer returns.
• All other tasks related to the role.

The ideal candidate will have strong commercial acumen, international fresh produce experience, and a proven ability to develop sustainable business relationships across diverse markets.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience

• Relevant degree in Marketing, Commerce, International Business or similar;
• Minimum 5 years’ marketing or commercial experience in fresh produce exports;
• Pome fruit industry and target market knowledge advantageous;
• Experience managing international customers and distributors;
• Strong commercial, negotiation, communication and analytical skills;
• Excellent organisational and customer service skills;
• Willingness to travel internationally;
• Able to work near Grabouw and provide 24/7 customer support when required;
• Valid driver’s license.
