Treverton aims to appoint an experienced and dynamic individual to the position of

Marketing Manager

Starting: 1 July 2025
Reports to: Executive Head
Location: Treverton, Mooi River
Employment Type: Full-Time

Treverton is an independent evangelical Christian school, situated on a unique 270-hectare campus in the heart of the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands. Treverton caters for boys and girls from 12 months to Grade 12 and strives to provide a balanced, quality education based on a strong Christian foundation.

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Marketing Manager to lead and execute marketing and communications strategies that enhance the profile, enrollment, and community engagement of Treverton. This role requires a creative thinker with strong strategic planning abilities and a solid understanding of the private education market. The School Marketer will be responsible for promoting the school’s mission, values, and unique offerings to prospective families and the wider community.

  • Implement an annual marketing and communications plan aligned with the school’s goals for enrolment and reputation.
  • Manage all marketing campaigns across print, digital, social, and event channels.
  • Track and analyze marketing data to measure performance and ROI; adjust strategies as needed.
  • Work closely with Admissions to ensure marketing efforts drive inquiries and enrolment.

Digital & Content Marketing

  • Oversee the school’s website, ensuring content is up-to-date, accurate, and optimized for search.
  • Manage and grow the school’s presence on social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube etc.).
  • Create compelling written, visual, and video content that showcases school life, achievements, and events.
  • Produce newsletters, blogs, press releases, and promotional materials.

Branding & Visual Identity

  • Ensure all marketing materials are consistent with the school’s brand guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain templates and resources for internal use.
  • Coordinate with graphic designers, photographers, and videographers as needed.

Community & Public Relations

  • Act as the liaison between the school, local media, and community organizations.
  • Organize and promote school events such as open days, markets, and tours.
  • Foster positive relationships with current parents to encourage word-of-mouth referrals.
  • Manage the marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Source and manage relationships with external vendors, including paid media, printers, and digital marketing firms/freelancers.
    Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of marketing experience, preferably within the education sector.
  • Experience with private/independent schools is highly desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in digital marketing tools (Google Analytics, social media platforms, email marketing software, etc.).
  • Familiarity with CMS (e.g. WordPress), CRM systems, and design software (e.g. Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Creative mindset with attention to detail.
  • Team player who can work cross-functionally with staff, leadership, and external partners.
