As part of our strategic growth, we are seeking a visionary and results-oriented Marketing Manager to lead our regional marketing initiatives and elevate our brand to new heights.
Role Purpose
The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing plans to strengthen Keda Ceramics’ brand presence across Africa, drive market penetration, and support sales growth. The role requires a dynamic leader with a deep understanding of integrated marketing, brand positioning, and product launch strategies within high-volume, competitive industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning & Budget Management
- Develop and oversee the annual marketing plan, aligning strategies with corporate objectives and regional market trends.
- Prepare, manage, and optimize the marketing budget, ensuring maximum ROI.
- Implement cost-control measures and evaluate campaign effectiveness through KPIs and analytics.
- Brand Development & Promotion
- Design and execute comprehensive brand-building campaigns to strengthen market positioning.
- Ensure consistent brand messaging and visual identity across all channels and touchpoints.
- Build and implement an effective brand promotion system for both retail and wholesale channels.
- Product Launch & Promotion Strategies
- Plan and execute end-to-end new product introduction campaigns, from concept to launch.
- Collaborate with R&D and sales teams to position new products competitively in the market.
- Develop go-to-market strategies, pricing models, and promotional offers to drive adoption.
- Retail & Store Development
- Oversee the conceptualization, design, and branding of specialty stores, showrooms, and dealer outlets.
- Plan offline promotional activities, in-store activations, and trade fairs to drive foot traffic and sales.
- Ensure uniformity in visual merchandising, product displays, and customer experience across all outlets.
- Digital & Social Media Management
- Manage and grow the company’s online presence across websites, social media platforms, and e-commerce channels.
- Develop engaging content strategies to increase brand visibility and customer engagement.
- Monitor digital marketing performance and optimize campaigns for better reach and conversions.
- Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a professional marketing team to achieve business goals.
- Oversee marketing training programs to enhance staff knowledge and execution skills.
- Foster a culture of creativity, innovation, and accountability within the marketing department.
- Marketing Operations & Inventory Control
- Oversee the creation, procurement, and distribution of marketing materials, samples, and promotional items.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure timely replenishment of materials.
- Market Research & Competitor Analysis
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive market intelligence system to track consumer trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
- Provide actionable insights to guide product development, pricing, and promotional strategies.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Age Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field from one of the top five universities in Africa (marketing major preferred).
- MBA or relevant professional certifications in marketing will be an added advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of proven leadership experience in marketing management, preferably in ceramic tiles, sanitary ware, paint, furniture, building materials, FMCG, or telecommunications industries.
- Demonstrated experience in companies with annual sales exceeding USD 100 million.
- Track record of launching and growing new products, brands, or store concepts to national or regional recognition.
- Experience in managing multi-region advertising campaigns and store development projects.
