We have a vacancy for:

Marketing Manager

The Ridge School is looking for someone who is passionate about making a real impact through marketing and communications. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on diving into projects, getting things done and delivering measurable results.

Core purpose of the role:
The successful candidate will be required to effectively promote the school’s brand, engage with all relevant stakeholders and deliver on marketing and communication strategies. This role integrates both communication expertise and archiving responsibilities to enhance our storytelling and preserve our school’s history.

Core responsibilities:

  • Provide input and recommendations on marketing-related decisions and initiatives.
  • Execute on social media strategies across various platforms to increase brand awareness and engagement.
  • Managing and updating the school’s website to ensure it reflects the institutions values, programmes and achievements.
  • Ensuring that all relevant platforms encourage and promote tours and enrolments.
  • Create and curate content that resonates with the school’s target audience and encourages interaction.
  • Create compelling and informative content for various marketing channels, including website, social media, e-mail, newsletters, and print materials.
  • Execute on marketing strategies to attract prospective boys and increase enrolments.
  • Foster relationships with past, present and future School community to enhance the school’s reputation and support.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to align marketing efforts with academic and extra-curricular initiatives.
  • Execute on communication strategies to engage Old Boys.
  • Coordinate Old Boy events, newsletters and updates to foster a strong sense of community and support.
  • Plan and execute successful School events such as Open Houses, information sessions and alumni reunions.
  • Coordinate promotional activities to drive attendance and ensure positive experience for attendees.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities and competitive landscapes.
  • Use insights to inform marketing decisions and tactics.
  • Track and analyse key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate and insights.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and professionalism in all marketing materials and activities.
  • Strive for continuous improvement and innovation in marketing practices.
  • Take ownership of managing and organising the school’s archives. Using archival materials to enrich storytelling in a way that celebrates our school’s legacy.

Experience required: At least 5 years’ working experience in the following:

  • Working with digital marketing tools and platforms.
  • Hands-on experience in creating content for various channels including social media, websites, newsletters. This includes writing, editing and proof-reading skills.
  • Managing digital campaigns and analysing campaign performance using metrics and analytics tools.
  • Managing projects/events from conception to execution, coordinating tasks, setting deadlines, and ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget.

Qualifications:

Tertiary qualifications in Marketing and or Communications.

Reporting:

  • Reports to the Head of Development.
