Position Overview :

We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Marketing Manager to lead marketing initiatives for our key brands—DEWALT, STANLEY, and BLACK & DECKER—in South Africa. This role will encompass trade marketing, brand marketing, and digital marketing, focusing on driving growth, expanding market share, and elevating brand awareness. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the local market, consumer behaviour, and the tools and hardware industry.

Key Responsibilities :
  1. Brand Marketing : Develop and execute comprehensive brand strategies, lead brand campaigns, analyze performance, manage budgets, and build stakeholder relationships.
  2. Trade Marketing : Collaborate with sales and trade partners, design in-store promotions, monitor activities, and identify market opportunities.
  3. Digital Marketing : Lead digital strategies, oversee campaigns, optimize online presence, manage social media, and monitor website performance.
  4. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with product managers, sales, and customer service; support product launches; leverage regional teams for campaign optimization.
  5. Market Insights and Reporting : Conduct research, analyze competitors, and report on marketing performance to inform strategic decisions.
Minimum Requirements :
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • At least 5 years of marketing experience in consumer goods or tools industry, with proven success in brand, trade, and digital marketing.
  • Strong knowledge of South African market dynamics, consumer behaviour, and digital trends.
  • Experience with major brands in tools or hardware sectors.
  • Proven ability to develop multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Excellent analytical, project management, and communication skills.
Additional Skills :
  • Experience with digital marketing tools and platforms.
  • Knowledge of eCommerce and local regulations.
