Marketing Lead / Growth Co-Founder (Student-Friendly Role)

About Qlicka

Qlicka is South Africa’s next-gen event ticketing platform, mobile-first, fair, and built specifically for Event Organisers and Event Go-ers.

With the lowest commission in the game (2.5%) and a platform designed to simplify ticketing for the youth, event planners/organiser and event go-ers, we're already live in prototype form and prepping for launch.

We’re now looking for a marketing-savvy co-founder to join the mission and help bring this to life in the real world.

Responsibilities:

As the Marketing Lead / Growth Co-Founder, you will:

• Design and execute our go-to-market strategy for early traction
• Create and manage social media content (IG, TikTok, Email etc)
• Craft compelling messaging that speaks to the youth + student culture + event organisers
• Build and manage early brand presence online and offline
• Identify and build relationships with organisers/promoters, venues, and artists
• Develop launch campaigns for test events and early partners
• Analyze feedback and optimize based on audience engagement and signups
• Work with the founder and tech co-lead to shape user journeys and growth loops

You'll be the voice of Qlicka to the world and the ear of Qlicka to its users.

Qualifications:

You might be a Marketing student, a nightlife head with a content hustle, or just someone with a sharp creative brain and a love for building brands from scratch.

You should have:

• A good eye for design, tone, and brand energy (especially for Gen Z & youth/event culture)
• Experience creating content for Instagram, TikTok, Reels, or similar
• Strong writing skills (short copy, captions, blog-style posts)
• Ability to plan, schedule, and test marketing ideas quickly
• Interest in events, youth culture, music scenes, and the creator economy
• An entrepreneurial mindset you think like a builder, not a social media intern

Bonus skills (nice to have):

• Some experience with paid social or influencer outreach
• Email marketing or community growth
• Event planning or student brand rep experience
