Applications are invited for the Marketing Coordinator position to be based in Malamulele.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The Marketing Co-ordinator is responsible for managing local marketing activities within a specific Herotel Regional office.
Key Performance Areas include, but are not limited to:
- The local marketing coordinator ensures all marketing activities align with the national marketing strategy. The role primarily focuses on brand activation (70-80%), with supporting activities.
- Brand Activations:
- Create pop-up sales offices and information kiosks during fibre project phases.
- Mobilize regional resources for kiosks, events, etc., ensuring proper training and appearance.
- Identify and create opportunities for brand activation to increase awareness, such as sponsoring events like golf days and festivals.
- Distribute flyers and conduct door-to-door outreach if necessary.
- Identify sponsorship opportunities and maximize their impact.
- Support fibre installation activities in the field.
- Manage and attend activations in person, including working on Saturdays with a day off on Monday.
- Social Media Publishing:
- Maintain and update local Facebook pages with relevant content following the digital strategy.
- Website Map Maintenance:
- Ensure the national website displays the latest coverage maps.
- Collaborate with head office to identify long-term brand awareness opportunities, including outdoor billboards, radio, and print media.
- Reporting:
- Manage marketing budgets to ensure spend aligns with fibre uptake targets.
Candidate Requirements:
- 2 to 5 years of experience managing marketing for multiple branches.
- Willingness and ability to travel 2-3 times per month.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to work under pressure and solve problems efficiently.
- Strong time management and teamwork skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Education:
- A relevant qualification in Marketing is advantageous.
