Job Description
The role involves proactive management of marketing and communications activities aligned with the Sandvik business model. It includes overseeing the development and execution of divisional and sales area marketing strategies, as well as developing communication strategies for various channels and stakeholders both internally and externally.
Additionally, this position serves as the Executive Assistant to the Executive Team (Directors/Senior Management), providing administrative support, including managing travel arrangements.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and track marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., product & sales) to develop and monitor marketing efforts for the Africa territories, including planning events and marketing activities within budget.
- Monitor and report marketing spend in line with the annual budget.
- Coordinate with other African country marketing teams for SRP marketing initiatives.
- Work with external marketing service providers to develop budgets and marketing publications, liaising with the VP and content providers.
- Conduct market research and analyze trends to identify new marketing opportunities.
- Support the development of marketing materials and coordinate with global teams to ensure relevant content is available for the sales area.
- Organize and coordinate marketing events, trade shows, and shows.
- Collaborate with the global marketing team to promote Africa content via social media platforms like LinkedIn.
- Drive NPS initiatives using CRM, aiming to increase response rates and feedback quality.
- Implement other CRM-related initiatives.
Internal Communications & Management
- Draft and distribute internal communications via SRP Africa channels.
- Coordinate with managers on content and establish an annual communications calendar and events.
- Support and organize internal webinars and develop related materials.
- Propose and develop internal communication plans to enhance effectiveness.
- Ensure branding aligns with Sandvik guidelines across office locations and employee materials.
Executive Assistant & Office Administration
- Provide organized support to senior executives, including managing schedules and coordinating meetings.
- Plan and coordinate management events and meetings, including off-site strategy sessions.
- Assist with board meeting preparations and travel arrangements, acting as a key user of the travel system.
- Maintain office environment and supplies, support office events, and liaise with procurement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communication, Business Administration, or equivalent preferred.
- Relevant qualifications like Diplomas or Certificates in Marketing or Communications considered with experience.
- Minimum of 2 years in a similar marketing & communication role.
