Salary: R 550 000,00 CTC per year (depending on experience)

Location: Cape Town (onsite)

Overview:

Join a respected, future-focused and well-loved brand with a strong international footprint. As part of their high-performing marketing division, they’re looking for a Deployment Specialist to help elevate campaign execution across Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC).

This is a hands-on technical role, perfect for someone who thrives in a detail-oriented environment and has a strong command of email marketing best practices, automation, data segmentation, and personalised content creation. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and flawless deployment of digital campaigns.

Please note: This is a Salesforce Marketing Cloud execution role, not a strategy or planning role. Experience with SFMC tools (Email Studio, Content Builder, Automations, etc.), personalisation scripting (AMPscript), Litmus testing, and complex data extensions is essential.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute email campaign deployments using Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Create and manage subscriber data, segments, queries, and data extensions
  • Configure, schedule, and test proof deployments and live sends using Litmus or similar tools
  • Leverage Salesforce tools and scripting languages (e.g., AMPscript) for personalisation and dynamic content
  • Conduct rigorous QA checks to ensure rendering, deliverability, tracking, and functionality
  • Monitor campaign delivery and performance, reporting on key analytics and post-deployment tracking
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align campaigns with business needs
  • Recommend and implement improvements to campaign processes, deployment workflows, and audience targeting
  • Build and maintain relational data models and complex automations
  • Compile and analyse performance data and provide insights to improve future campaigns

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiaty qualification
  • 4+ years’ experience in a similar role with hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience
  • Proficient in email campaign deployment, dynamic content creation, and personalisation scripting (AMPscript)
  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and email design best practices
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL for audience segmentation, data extraction, and building queries within Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Experience with email QA, testing tools (e.g., Litmus), and deliverability optimisation
