Job description

Our client in the Truck Industry has a new vacancy available for a Marketing Assistant and Graphic Designer based at their HQ in Johannesburg Eastern Suburbs.

POSITION INFO: Duties:

  1. Assist with delegated monthly reporting requirements – set up monthly report compilation.
  2. Assess campaign success through marketing channels monthly – provide feedback and develop contingency plans.
  3. Interpret and organize market research and assessments.
  4. Plan and prepare for marketing events (Head Office, Branches, and dealer network).
  5. Manage marketing stock and inventory – store room management and arrangement.
  6. Distribute and manage stock levels – handle orders and sign outs.
  7. Maintain marketing network database and distribution lists.
  8. Provide administrative support to sales and marketing departments.
  9. Assist with packing and distribution of stock and POS items to internal teams and network.
  10. Conceptualize ideas for campaign initiation based on briefs from in-house and external teams.
  11. Develop brand collateral for network use and distribution.
  12. Create marketing communication materials, including mock-ups and approval concepts prior to launch.
  13. Assist with in-house design tasks for other departments, including editing.
  14. Develop marketing materials for Dealer Network and branches.
  15. Manage Dealer Portal materials, including development and amendments.
  16. Assist with monthly copywriting tasks as needed.
  17. Ensure all design elements and communications adhere to CI guidelines.
  18. Review dealer network materials monthly for CI adherence.
  19. Ensure artwork compatibility with third-party platform requirements.
  20. Oversee and manage all social media platforms, including posts, budgets, and schedules.
  21. Manage lead generation distribution and network management.
  22. Operate LMS system and analyze month-end lead reports.
  23. Capture content through photography and videography, manage equipment, and edit collateral.
  24. Travel for on-site shoots and editing as required.
  25. Maintain all design software and programs.
  26. Capture event content and distribute internally and externally.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
  • Experience as an Administration/Sales and Marketing Assistant.
  • 4–5 years of design experience and knowledge.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Coral Suite, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • At least 2–3 years of online/digital marketing or e-commerce experience.
  • Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to think outside the box.
  • Analytical skills for ensuring calculated outcomes.
  • Outstanding portfolio required; experience in OEM/Automotive/Commercial markets is beneficial but not necessary.
