Job description

Marketing Administrator required in Cape Town.

Are you passionate about social media, skilled in creating compelling content, and have a keen eye for design?

Our client based in Paarden Eiland requires a dynamic and creative team as an all-rounder Marketing Administrator.

In this role, you’ll bring your digital marketing expertise to life across platforms like Meta Ads Manager, Mailchimp, and Canva.

Salary: R20 000 per month.

Requirements:

  • Matric, or relevant qualification
  • Experience in WordPress, Social Pilot, Mailchimp, Canva, Microsoft 365 (incl. Teams), and Google WorkSpace (incl. Google Analytics)
  • Experience in Meta Ads Manager will be advantageous
  • Must be able to work confidently with Google Workspace (especially Google Sheets)
  • Strong working knowledge of social media and community management and scheduling
    tools/software
  • Ability to take the lead and be resourceful in finding appropriate social content opportunities
  • Keen interest in interior design and lifestyle brands is essential
  • Organised and dependable to meet deadlines

Duties and Responsibilities::

  • Develop a monthly social media calendar that will distribute brand content that inspires target audiences
  • Schedule content to create a consistent flow of new content for audiences to interact with while constantly analysing what works and what doesn’t and alter the content calendar where necessary
  • Build relationships by listening and engaging in relevant social discussions about the brand, its competitors and industry
  • Tactfully capitalize on relevant news stories, trends or hashtags
  • Constantly monitor competitor brands’ social media activity and share with key internal stakeholders
  • Daily monitoring of social media platforms to ensure all comments/messages are responded to in a timely manner
  • Propose new ideas and concepts for social content to better connect with our audiences
  • Report on all social media metrics that highlights activity, results, and trends on company platforms, and continually look for new ways to improve on the metrics to guide future social content plans and campaigns
  • Coordinate administration of advertising bookings, tradeshows (for example, Decorex and Scape Emporium Tradeshow), and agency services (ensuring contracts are populated correctly, doing Purchase Orders, filing all documentation on server)
  • Assist the Marketing Manager with maintaining the website (specific to incoming new products, discontinued products, and product price changes
  • Assist the Marketing Manager with monthly newsletters (MailChimp), reporting, and billing
