About the Role

There is an opportunity for a Marketing Activation Manager to join our Marketing team based in Johannesburg, South Africa reporting to the Senior Marketing Activation Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing marketing plans in local markets across Brands and Channels.

What You Will Do
  1. Formulate & execute marketing plans, in collaboration with BMs and the local commercial organization across brands and channels (BTB & BTC);
  2. Formulate and present local brand plans & execution strategies to local & global stakeholders;
  3. Manage A & P spend & activity, in collaboration with BM, ensuring KPI’s are met and strategic plans are executed;
  4. Manage Toolkit & Brand CI in local market across all communication and execution assets including local adaptations and regulatory approval;
  5. Provide channel, customer & market insights to the commercial organization and BMs;
  6. Drive in-market data analysis and capturing, i.e. Nielsen, IQVIA, SSD etc.;
  7. Partner with sales for synchronization of sales and marketing activities and execution at customers and at the point of purchase;
  8. Be involved in strategic key account annual planning with Sales to drive and optimize portfolio mix;
  9. Manage forecasting and portfolio changes, including new launches;
  10. Oversee and ensure GP%, volume mix & product mix is healthy and maintained;
  11. Ensure brand knowledge and education is kept abreast both internally and externally aligned with global guidance by leveraging and using all learning platforms;
  12. Manage external stakeholders & agency management;
  13. Work in the field with sales & key account stakeholders to gain market insights – reporting it back to all stakeholders.
Who You Are
  1. Must have metric, and University degree or Tertiary Qualification in Marketing or Business Administration with commercial subjects;
  2. 3-5 years' experience in Marketing FMCG and Retail in the same or similar role as in Health/Med Tech industry;
  3. Commercial and business acumen, able to translate brand visions into effective strategies, propositions, and plans that fulfill the vision and are financially viable;
  4. Develop effective launch plans for innovation initiatives managing business requests and expectations;
  5. Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to drive performance and processes forward;
  6. Must be innovative, analytical, influential, insightful, courageous, and decisive.
