Job summary

Liebherr-Africa (Pty) Ltd seeks a seasoned sales professional to drive machines sales in the maritime crane portfolio from Durban North, South Africa. You will identify opportunities, engage customers and collaborate with Liebherr factories to tailor configurations and quotes.

Your network in the maritime market will support forecasting and growth. The role requires a Bachelor's in Business and at least 4 years of sales experience, with strong communication skills and a technical sales mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business.
• 4+ years' of sales experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in maritime cranes, port equipment, construction machinery or similar technical sales.
• Extensive knowledge of Liebherr equipment, especially maritime crane portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Sell machines and achieve sales objectives through disciplined opportunity identification, follow-up and conversion.
• Respond professionally and timeously to sales inquiries, maintain regular contact with existing customers and explore new markets.
• Stay up to date with Liebherr products, technology and market trends to offer correct machines and configurations.
• Prepare accurate offers and support feasibility studies, tenders and technical clarifications with internal teams.
• Maintain and expand a network in the maritime industry and use market intelligence for planning and forecasting.
• Represent Liebherr professionally, maintaining customer confidence and commercial judgement.
• Liaise with administration, logistics and factories on configurations, lead times, pricing, documentation and delivery.
• Provide weekly feedback on calls, activity, market intelligence, pipeline and results.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, brainstorming and improvement initiatives with market insight.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to customers and stakeholders with clear technical and commercial info.
