Qualifications

• Matriculation with strong passes in Mathematics and Physical Science.
• N3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Interest in marine engineering and a hands-on approach.
• Basic understanding of mechanical principles and diesel engines.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior marine engineers and technicians in maintenance and repairs.
• Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot marine engine issues.
• Assist in installation and commissioning of marine machinery.
• Read diagrams, schematics and manuals.
• Operate workshop tools safely and efficiently.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and repairs.
• Follow safety and environmental standards.
• Gain experience with propulsion, power generation, and auxiliary systems.
• Support emergency repair operations as needed.
