Placements24 is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join a progressive manufacturer in Polokwane, Limpopo, ZA. You will operate and maintain industrial machinery, set up equipment for production runs, and support process improvements on-site.

The ideal candidate will have a Matric certificate and relevant technical qualification (NTC 3 or Artisan) with 2–4 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing. A strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Matric certificate is required; a relevant technical qualification (e.g., NTC 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Artisan qualification) is highly advantageous.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor manufacturing machines and equipment according to standard operating procedures.
• Perform routine maintenance, lubrication, and minor repairs on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Set up and adjust equipment for different production runs and product specifications.
• Monitor production output and quality, reporting deviations or defects.
• Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and production issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
