Job summary

SAB in South Africa seeks a senior Manufacturing Information Systems lead to manage regional IT services for production execution, SAP and automation integrations. You will guide a team, oversee deployments, licensing, and project delivery while aligning with business plans and strategic direction.

You will drive system governance, interface with BIS, and lead CAPIN efforts across E&I and C&A domains to support brewery operations.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification: Degree in Information Systems / Engineering Management.
• Experience implementing systems and project planning/management.
• Minimum 5 years in a systems environment and/or with control and automation.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. SAP).
• Knowledge of operating systems and software applications.
• Familiarity with hardware and networking equipment.
• SAB business knowledge and detailed manufacturing process knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage Service Delivery and Support to the brewery by effective team performance management and leadership.
• Manage Manufacturing Systems Software deployment and licensing.
• Identify and motivate technical CAPIN for Manufacturing Systems.
• Manage Manufacturing Systems project implementation.
• Manage Manufacturing Systems change control practices.
• Manage adherence to the Manufacturing Systems standards.
• Manage Manufacturing System’s team members.
• Provide leadership to the team in the field of Manufacturing Systems and Technology.
• Leverage business benefit from existing and new Production Execution Systems and Information Systems.
• Facilitate and optimize the interface between the systems team and BIS.
• Infrastructure fiber optic network – identifying risks and remediation.
• Back-office servers – first line reaction and problem solving for GIS interface.
• Manufacturing machines – e.g. SCADA software maintenance and problem solving.
• Avmar backup checks – workflow verification and alerts if backups fail.
• Inter PLC network maintenance – regional scope.
• Recruitment, coaching and upskilling of SPCTs Infrastructure for future expansions.
• Technical footprint lead for E&I and C&A projects to ensure strategic expansion.
• Management of System Integrators for standards and pricing.
• Governance around automated safety systems on site.
• Deliver and maintain reporting and application development solutions.
• Coordination of Control and Automation aspects of CAPIN projects.
