Job Description

Responsible for reconciliation of the manufacturing stock system to ERP system costs, including landed cost for imported products.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Review of journals for manual Manufacturing stock accounting entries.
  2. Review of journals submitted by Divisions for manual Manufacturing stock accounting entries.
  3. Conduct reconciliations for Manufacturing stock accounts against sub-ledger data, import stock GL accounts, identify variances and prepare correcting entries.
  4. Reconcile the landed cost of imported goods for fabric purchases.
  5. Determine the appropriate resolution for Manufacturing stock variances in collaboration with the Senior Manufacturing stock Accountant.
  6. Initiate variance resolution with the appropriate stakeholder groups and monitor resolution of variances.
  7. Monitor Manufacturing stock accounting transactions captured at a Divisional level and escalate inconsistent, inaccurate or incomplete for resolution.
  8. Involvement in any process and systems projects affecting manufacturing stock.
  9. Assist and perform appropriate responses to audit observations and ensure corrective audit actions are taken.
  10. Assist team members, provide feedback to the business, and act as an escalation point for matters relating to Manufacturing stock accounting processes.
  11. Supervise assistant accounts in the preparation of purchase recons.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Financial Accounting or related field [Mandatory]
  • 3-5 Years Post Qualification work experience
