We are a highly reputable meat processing and production entity seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Manager to join our team and lead our operational efforts. As the Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food production facility.
This includes managing production schedules, suppliers, procurement of ingredients, ensuring product quality and compliance with safety standards, optimizing workflow, and leading a team of production staff.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food manufacturing, exceptional organizational and analytical skills, be computer literate, and possess the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Planning and Management
- Develop and implement production schedules
- Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency and compliance with company standards
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure raw material availability
- Adjust schedules based on order volume or specifications
Quality Control- Ensure products meet quality standards and regulations
- Implement quality control procedures
- Conduct inspections and audits
- Address quality issues
Team Leadership and Development- Supervise, train, and evaluate staff
- Foster a positive work environment
- Address performance issues
- Promote staff development
Safety and Compliance- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Develop safety protocols

Process Optimization- Analyze production data for improvements

Inventory and Supply Chain Management- Manage inventory levels

Reporting and Documentation- Prepare performance reports

Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Food Science, Business Management, or related field
- Minimum 5 years in food manufacturing, with at least 2 in management
- Knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, FSSC)
- Experience in production planning, quality control, and process optimization
- Leadership and team management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
