Job summary

CFW Fans (Pty) Ltd in Cape Town seeks a Head of Manufacturing & Production to lead and optimise its manufacturing and production operations across fabrication, machining, assembly and finishing. You will translate sales needs into production plans, monitor progress and drive continuous improvement in a multi-project environment.

The role requires a strong track record in senior manufacturing leadership, metal fabrication, ERP experience, and the ability to mentor managers and teams while

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification (N5 minimum) is required.
• Proven experience in a senior production, manufacturing or factory management role.
• Strong experience in manufacturing and metal fabrication environments.
• Proven experience in production planning, scheduling and capacity management.
• Experience managing complex production environments with multiple projects and deadlines.
• Experience with ERP systems or manufacturing software is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and overall management of manufacturing and production operations.
• Develop, manage and improve production planning and scheduling to meet targets and deadlines.
• Translate sales requirements into realistic production plans considering capacity and lead times.
• Monitor progress, identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement to increase productivity and reduce waste.
• Ensure processes meet quality standards and identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, Procurement and Logistics for effective planning.
• Ensure resources are available to support the production schedule.
• Oversee manufacturing processes and ensure policies and controls are maintained.
• Lead and mentor managers and production teams, promoting accountability.
• Promote communication, teamwork, and a strong safety culture.
• Own production challenges and provide practical, commercially sound solutions.
