Due to our continued growth, we are seeking 2 x Manufacturing Operators (Agency Workers) to join our team. This is a temporary position based at our facility in Cape Town.

Role Overview

As a Manufacturing Operator (Agency Worker), you must follow strict procedures in the manufacturing process. You will record information related to manufacturing formulae, yields, progress, and process times. You will ensure the manufacturing equipment is cared for and maintained, report any damage or defects, and keep the production area clean, neat, and tidy, in compliance with GMP standards.

Role Requirements

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Follow working instructions to operate related equipment for the process
• Complete batch records accurately and promptly
• Clean equipment and work area according to procedures and GMP standards
• Requisition goods from stores
• Ensure on-time, in-full delivery (OTIF) to internal customers
• Record hours spent on processes into ERP software
• Report discrepancies or non-conformances to the Team Leader
• Interpret data and complete log-books
• Produce batches at full capacity, depending on process and equipment
• Lift bags weighing up to 25 kg using proper techniques or with a two-person lift
• Operate a forklift if trained and licensed
• Complete and maintain training assessments and records
• Read and write in English; communicate verbally and in writing
• Use basic mathematics and a calculator
• Multitask, plan daily work, and follow up on issues
• Make rapid decisions when required
• Work extended hours and night shifts as needed
• Be reliable, self-driven, and detail-oriented
• Work well in a team

Qualifications and Experience

Matric with Mathematics & Science or at least 2 years of manufacturing experience.
