What you will do
• To assume overall responsibility and accountability for the performance of the Manufacturing Areas and Dispensary in terms of Compliance, Reliability, Cost and People pillars. Ensures GMP, EHS and quality requirements are met in the area of responsibility Ensure training and SOP compliance in the area of responsibility
• Deliver the Production Plan by assigning, supporting and coordinating responsibilities amongst the operators, to ensure efficient and effective delivery of the Plan.
• Actively participates in the identification and implementation of continuous improvements initiatives. Ensure wastages are minimized and packaging costs contained. Motivate staff members and ensure that cross functional team engagement occurs
Key Responsibilities
Compliance:
•Ensures GMP, EHS and Quality compliance during the execution of the Plan and all related tasks. Ensures compliance with work instructions according to the relevant SOP's
•Contributes to the reduction of NCs (Non Conformances), deviations and complaints. Participates in root cause analysis, countermeasures identification and implementation of CAPAs.
•Ensures the team is properly trained on the appropriate SOP's, WI's and any other procedures that may affect compliance and performance. Ensures the integrity of the data captured in all GMP documentation
•Guarantee the order, cleanliness and housekeeping maintenance in the area of responsibility.
•Conducts internal EHS Quality /Housekeeping audits and ensures corrective action plans are initiated and closed out for area of responsibility
Reliability:
•Ensures the execution of the Production Plan by managing the resources to achieve this and establish priorities if required. Communicates and discuss with the Production Lead any situations that deviate from the standard or conflicting priorities
•Participates in the launch of new products according to JnJ quality requirements
•Promotes the participation of the team in identifying and implementing efficiency/OEE improvement actions
•Responsible for updating and maintaining the relevant visual factory measurements and information.
Cost-
•Responsible for the management of the operational costs or expenses incurred in the department in order to comply with BP commitments. Ensures that the correct staff allocation is used in the department to meet the BP/S&OP headcount requirements
•Identifies and encourages continuous improvement opportunities in the department in order to become more cost effective and operationally efficient
•Responsible for the identification of possible capital expenditures (CAPEX) requirements in the department People:
•Ensures compliance with the internal site requirements as well as HR policies and procedures, e.g. working hours, personal hygiene, disciplinary process, etc.
•Leads the “Five Conversations" with the team members Develops and coaches team members. Ensures cross functional team engagement occurs and that communication is increased Instils a culture in the department based on the values captured in CREDO commitment
Delegation:
•In case of absence of the Key Role individual, assume responsibility for key activities in the following role, as Delegate 2 for Production Lead
Qualifications
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
· B. Pharm degree (registered with the SAPC) or Post-basic Pharmacist Assistant Qualification (registered with the SAPC)
· 3-5 years' experience in a pharmaceutical production environment.
· Basic First-line Management Qualification would be advantageous

· Drives accountability in the area of responsibility.
· Encourages input from the team on decisions - collaboration.
· User knowledge of Microsoft Office, BPCS, etc.
