Job summary

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years in cost accounting, strong Excel skills, and knowledge of BOM costing and inventory valuation. Afrikaans fluency is required to conduct business in this setting, and ERP/accounting systems experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Cost Accounting or Management Accounting is required.
• 3-5 years' Cost Accounting experience is required.
• Must be able to conduct business in Afrikaans.
• Prior experience in manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of BOM costing, inventory accounting, production variance analysis, and standard costing.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required.
• ERP or accounting systems experience is required.
• CIMA (completed or studying) will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate product costing and pricing models.
• Analyse manufacturing costs and production variances.
• Monitor inventory valuation and participate in stock counts.
• Prepare weekly and monthly manufacturing cost reports.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve manufacturing processes.
• Support audits and ensure accurate cost allocations across the business.
