Job description

Formal Tertiary Education: Qualified Artisan (Tool Maker / Turner Machinist)

Experience:

1. 2-5 years after qualification within the machining / tool making environment.
2. Must have experience in raw material handling.
3. Worked with manual lathe machines.
4. Job planning experience.
5. Ability to read mechanical manufacturing drawings.
6. Work accurately and meet deadlines.

Languages:

1. English: Read, write, and speak (required).
2. Afrikaans: Read, write, and speak (optional).

Driver's License: Code 8 (required).

Job Objectives:

1. The successful incumbent (Toolmaker, Fitter and Turner, Turner Machinist) must be competent in reading mechanical drawings, planning, and completing tasks as per the drawings.
2. Operate manual lathes for manufacturing components.
3. Maintain quality and tolerances as stipulated, and complete tasks within project timelines.
