A leading financial services group is seeking an experienced Managing Director to lead its investment companies. The ideal candidate will possess a relevant degree in business management or finance, with at least 12 years of experience in the financial services industry. Responsibilities will include team leadership, financial performance management, and strategic planning, along with ensuring compliance with legislation.

Your Qualifications: Relevant degree in business management or finance, preferably with an investment management qualification; at least 12 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry.
Critical Competencies: Broad technical understanding of management areas including investment management, finance, legal, regulatory, marketing, communication, strategic planning, human resources, and information technology; knowledge of relevant legislation; ability to multitask and delegate; teamwork and collaboration skills; strong management, leadership, and motivational abilities.

Responsibilities include: Leading and motivating teams; implementing policies; executing lawful and ethical management practices; managing human capital; developing and implementing divisional strategy; overseeing investment processes; maintaining organizational culture and reputation; reporting performance to the CEO; developing distribution channels; managing financial performance; collaborating on marketing and sales strategies; recruiting and developing team members; ensuring succession planning.
Technology: Coordinating system development and maintenance; ensuring compliance with IT policies.
Financial and Growth Management: Budgeting; monitoring operational and financial performance.
Marketing: Identifying expansion opportunities; driving negotiations and liaising with partners.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring adherence to FAIS, FICA, POPIA, and other relevant legislation; maintaining licensing requirements; focusing on client fair treatment; liaising with compliance functions.
