Role Overview:
The Managing Director (MD) will lead Keystone Milling, overseeing all company operations, formulating strategic goals, and driving profitability. The MD will work closely with the CEO to implement corporate policies, make key decisions, and ensure the long-term success and sustainability of the organization. This is a senior executive role that requires strong leadership, industry knowledge, and a forward-thinking approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement strategic goals and initiatives to drive the long-term success and growth of Keystone Milling.
- Collaborate with the CEO to align business objectives, ensuring the company remains competitive and innovative within the milling and grain processing sector.
- Lead the company’s expansion into new markets, enhancing product offerings and business development opportunities.
Operational Management:
- ·Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring all departments are aligned with the strategic goals.
- Ensure operational excellence by implementing efficient processes, maintaining product quality, and enhancing supply chain performance.
- Drive cost control initiatives while improving productivity and quality standards.
Financial Oversight:
- Develop and manage the company’s financial strategy, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Review and monitor financial performance, ensuring the company remains profitable and financially sound.
- Work with the Financial Manager and finance team to manage cash flow.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and inspire a diverse team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
- Provide mentorship and development opportunities for senior leaders within the company.
- Ensure strong internal communication and alignment across all functions of the organisation.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Drive initiatives that ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and retention.
Innovation & Sustainability:
- Identify and implement industry trends, new technologies, and process improvements to enhance competitiveness.
- Promote a sustainability agenda across the company, ensuring responsible sourcing and environmental stewardship.
Key Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- A Chartered Accountant, B.Com or MBA qualification is preferred.
- At least 5 years of senior management, with a proven track record in Sales in Milling, FMCG, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of Maize milling, FMCG, and the Retail and Wholesale trade will be advantageous but not a requirement.
