As a Software Development Engineer (SDE) in Amazon's Simple Storage Service (S3), you will solve exciting problems at an unparalleled scale. You will help build systems that manage trillions of objects, retrieve them in milliseconds across tens of thousands of hosts, and maintain 99.999999999% data durability. Key Responsibilities

• Build services that persist and retrieve customer data, forming the foundation of S3.
• Design and implement new components and improvements, tackling challenging technical problems at scale.
• Work with engineers to deliver reliable, high-availability services worldwide, maintaining high standards for testing and automation.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience in system design, reliability, and scaling.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience communicating requirements and designs to stakeholders.
• Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams.
• Experience integrating machine learning into software products.
