A leading insurance provider in Southern Africa is seeking a Sales Manager to develop and execute sales strategies for Personal Insurance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and analytical skills, with a solid background in operational management. This role involves leading teams, managing performance, and ensuring compliance while fostering relationships with brokers and clients.

Develop and execute sales and service delivery strategies for new business, aligning with the overall PLCC Contact Centre Strategy to achieve growth and profit targets for Personal Insurance.
Lead and manage the new business teams, ensuring daily service and quality levels are maintained across voice and email channels in Johannesburg.
Manage performance, productivity, quality assurance, rework, and queue management activities. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including brokers, to meet service needs and grow the business.
Proactively acquire new business, apply underwriting standards across South Africa, and manage relationships with brokers and intermediaries.
Ensure compliance with SOPs, develop underwriting rules, and innovate to optimize underwriting performance.
Internal: Broker Services, Heads, Regional Managers, Technical Managers, Relationship Managers, Legal, WFM.
External: Admin Houses, Clients, TransUnion, others.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent; insurance diploma (AIISA/FIISA) advantageous; risk management qualification beneficial.
5-10 years in people and operational management within financial sectors; 3-5 years in contact center management. Knowledge of IT, workflow systems, and personal lines products. Financial acumen in budgeting and reporting. Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multi-shift contact centers.
Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, technical, and analytical skills. Negotiation, project management, and business decision-making abilities. Proven ability to motivate teams and maintain broker relationships.
