We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified Manager: Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) to lead and drive the implementation of health, safety, and environmental strategies across our operations, on and off-site. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, proactive risk management, stakeholder engagement, and cultivating a culture of zero harm within the organisation. This is a key leadership role, providing expert guidance and support to internal departments, executive leadership, and external partners.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Develop, implement, and manage SHE policies, frameworks, and procedures aligned with OHS legislation and ESG standards
  • Conduct regular SHE audits and inspections, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans
  • Design and drive the implementation of a Zero Harm strategy and safety culture across all business areas
  • Serve as Risk and ESG custodian within Facilities Management, ensuring environmental and health regulations are upheld
  • Lead incident investigations and corrective action processes to drive continuous safety improvement
  • Coordinate SHE training, awareness campaigns, emergency drills, and ensure emergency preparedness
  • Report SHE performance and compliance to Exco and senior management, backed by accurate data and insights
  • Ensure robust contractor and offsite event compliance aligned with the OHS Act and other industry regulations
  • Manage SHE-related stakeholder engagement, including regulators, vendors, internal teams, and project leaders
  • Implement technology solutions for performance monitoring, compliance, and safety innovation

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or BTech degree in Occupational Health and Safety Management or related field
  • At least 8 years’ experience in SHE management, with 5 years in a leadership role
  • In-depth knowledge and application of OHS Act, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
  • Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, SAIOSH, or SAATCA (advantageous)
  • Experience in corporate, financial services or similar high-compliance environments
