The Route-To-Consumer (RTC) Manager plays a key role in driving Minimum Execution Standards (MES) to increase brand visibility and sales growth in SA’s dynamic liquor trade. This role requires a results-driven individual with a strong focus on data analytics and a collaborative working style to deliver best in class trade execution with sales teams.
Qualification:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
Experience:
- Minimum 3-5yrs experience in an Insights or Trade Marketing / RTC role within the alcoholic beverages or FMCG sectors.
- Expertise in data analysis, with advanced Microsoft Office skills and a proven track record in transforming data into actionable insights for marketing and Sales Teams.
- Experience in developing and implementing trade marketing strategies, promotional materials and POS solutions is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with brand and sales teams to effectively develop, deploy and embed the Route To Consumer strategy, targets and way of working in the business.
- Define and drive Minimum Execution Standards and guidelines to improve brand visibility and availability in Off-Trade and On-Trade outlets.
- Work closely and own the relationship with sales automation partners to ensure data integrity and accuracy for all internal and Principal scorecards
Monitor, track and report on MES compliance, identifying and closing channel, regional, and store-level gaps with the sales teams. - Leverage MES and other market intelligence to provide actionable insights to constantly improve brand visibility and availability in trade.
- Conduct regular trade visits with sales teams to champion the RTC and MES initiative, driving best in class trade execution in all channels.
- Work closely with brand and sales teams to develop trade marketing materials and point of sale solutions to increase brand visibility, availability and commercial impact on shelf.
- Track all trade marketing campaigns, promotions and POS deployment from warehouse to the trade, ensuring best in class execution and ROI for the business.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and inform on-going MES guidelines for Off-Trade and On-Trade outlets.
- Build effective working relationships with RTC counterpart in Principal to ensure alignment of the RTC strategy and effective feedback for Global teams.
