Job Description

To lead and ensure optimal performance and reporting of the Business and Commercial’s credit portfolio, ensuring the portfolio performs within risk appetite, budgets are set appropriately, and strategic portfolio decisions are optimized across 14 countries in Africa.

Drive effective execution of the credit risk strategy and framework in line with the risk appetite statements, the Group Credit Risk Governance Standard, and Global Credit Policy.

Provide leadership, support, and quality assurance to the team to execute all Credit Risk process activities to manage risk, achieve targets, and align with best practices.

Qualifications

  • First Degree in Mathematical/Business Sciences/Finance/Accounting (essential)
  • Post Graduate Degree in Mathematical/Business Sciences/Finance/Accounting (preferred)

Experience Required

8-10 years in Credit Risk – PPB, Risk & Corporate Affairs. Proven capability in leading people across the full spectrum of Credit Risk, including originations, evaluation, account management, collections, and payments. Experience in banking, portfolio analysis, and/or credit risk management. Knowledge of legal, regulatory, and compliance aspects related to foreclosure processes.
