Job description

To maximise recovery of the non-performing book through the application of Legal / Risk management processes in order to minimise loss / risk for Nedbank.

Job Responsibilities
  • Rehabilitate delinquent accounts by concluding settlement agreements and arrangements with clients within mandate.
  • Meet monthly individual and team performance (Business and Financial) targets by proactively managing the portfolio.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders by providing support, communicating effectively, and conducting oneself professionally.
  • Create world-class customer service by resolving queries effectively within turnaround times.
  • Drive team efficiency by planning and executing business strategies and reviewing daily reports.
  • Manage team performance, skills, and knowledge through on-the-job training, counselling, and coaching.
  • Recommend and submit policy and procedure enhancements with supporting documentation.
  • Stay updated with legislative changes by attending industry workshops and information sessions.
  • Maintain professional and ethical standards by ensuring compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage external stakeholder performance within specified parameters, mandates, and SLAs.
  • Identify performance gaps via evaluations and analysis of data from the MIS.
  • Implement risk management practices by identifying, assessing, and acting on risks.
  • Support the achievement of strategic objectives by aligning systems, processes, services, and solutions with Nedbank and Business Unit plans.
  • Identify personal training and career development opportunities through management feedback.
  • Complete all personal development activities within set timeframes.
