Introduction
Our client is a supplier of steel and coal products for the mining industry.
The client is seeking a Manager Projects Control with the following key criteria:
- Grade D3
- Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting or Finance (Essential / Minimum)
- 6 years relevant experience in managing and overseeing projects controls functions in multi-billion-rand construction and mining MEGA Projects.
- Certificate of Fitness (Essential / Minimum)
Purpose: The Manager: Projects Control provides leadership to the controls team, overseeing all aspects of project controls including reporting, cost control, progress measurement, risk management, schedule development, and schedule control. They will provide technical expertise and guidance to the Matla Life of Mine Programme (MLOMP) regarding project progress, compliance, and performance.
The incumbent partners with Project Managers and the Programme Manager to optimize and execute projects, deploying resources based on the Programme and/or Projects Strategic Plans.

Contract period: 12 Months
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide technical input for quantitative analyses to evaluate financial viability of new projects and initiatives.
- Financial planning, monitoring, and budgeting for project resources.
- Assist Project Manager in fulfilling budget and Change Request requirements.
- Support development of strategy and ensure systems exist for strategy implementation.
- Provide inputs for enhancing project management capabilities and cost management.
- Implement controls for legal compliance and SHE management systems.
- Recognize and manage risks impacting project outputs.
- Develop governance systems for best practices.
- Consolidate monthly reports and participate in management meetings.

- Ensure client satisfaction with support services.
- Communicate project results effectively.
- Adhere to policies, standards, and procedures.
- Standardize and streamline processes, eliminate duplication.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
