Job summary

MTN Group invites applications for the Manager - Group Capital Portfolio Management role. You will drive and optimise the consolidated capital portfolio, assess investment proposals, and translate performance data into insights for strategic capital allocation.

Qualifications

About the Role:

As the Manager - Group Capital Portfolio Management, you will play a key role in supporting and executing the Group Capital Management Strategy, with a focus on actively managing the consolidated capital portfolio and strengthening capital performance across the Group and its businesses. You will support the assessment and optimisation of the capital portfolio mix, balancing strategic priorities across growth, cost, sustainability, risk and returns, while continuously monitoring portfolio performance and proactively identifying return and risk considerations.

You will also conduct financial and investment due diligence on key and critical investment proposals in line with defined governance requirements, providing the analysis required to support Group and OpCo investment decisions and Capex releases. Through consolidated strategic and financial reporting, forecasting and variance analysis, you will translate underlying capital performance data into meaningful insights and commentary that enable senior management to make informed capital allocation decisions and assess requirements for additional Capex release.

What We’re Looking For:

Education:

• Minimum of 3-year tertiary degree
• Qualified Chartered Accountant/Chartered Finance Analyst/Relevant Financial Management Professional Qualification (preferred)
• Relevant certification / accreditation / membership with professional body in Finance, Accounting, Corporate Finance bodies

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in management of Business Finance Operations/Capital performance management/Capex or Investment Valuations.
• Worked across diverse cultures and geographies advantageous.
• Experience working in a small to medium organization
• Proven success in delivery of high-quality analytics.
• Experience in working with various stakeholders.
• Experience in working under pressure and delivering under tight deadlines.
