Manager Non-Financial Risk Insurance

To provide proactive management and operational support enabling the implementation of the risk management strategy across the Short Term Insurance business unit of the Insurance and Asset Management (IAM) cluster.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum Qualifications

• Type of Qualification: First Degree
• Field of Study: Actuarial Science / Risk Management / Finance related / BCom

• 3-4 years Operational Risk Management.
• 5-7 years Practical knowledge of risk control frameworks, assurance & applications in the financial services industry.

Practical knowledge and experience of applicable Short Term Insurance legislation which would include an understanding of the SAM regulatory environment, the Insurance Act and other applicable legislation to the insurance business.

Fully conversant in risk appetite, risk responses & process improvement concepts.

Understanding of both regulatory and financial reporting risk principles.
