Job summary

Express Employment Professionals Vaal Triangle is seeking an experienced Mining Operations Manager to lead safety, production, logistics and budgeting in a large-scale mining setting.

The role requires GCC/Mine Manager qualifications, a BEng/BTech in Mining, and a minimum of 10 years of comprehensive mining experience, with strong emphasis on safety and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in mining as a foundation for senior operations.
• Mine management certificates and GCC highlight readiness for leadership.
• Extensive experience in mining operations and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Applies specialist knowledge to recommend, implement, operate and maintain appropriate technical systems
• Responsible for all production activities.
• Responsible for all logistic activities.
• Responsible for all resourcing and budgeting requirements for above mentioned activities.
• Responsible for compliance with all legal, environmental, occupational health and safety and risk management standards and best practices.
• Oversees slope stability monitoring and reporting.
• Oversees physical rehabilitation of surfaces is done according to mine closure plan.
• Ensures coordination of civil and water engineering activities and adherence to timeframes and standards
• Ensures compliance with all legal, environmental, occupational health and safety and risk management standards and best practice
• Will carry the 3.1A legal appointment
