Job description

Join the SA division of a multinational team. Our client is looking for an individual ready to transition from pure accounting roles into a position focusing on governance and operational control. Reporting to the Associate Director within the Governance, Control and Change pillar of the Institutional Client Services Fund Operations team, the Manager will support the Operational Governance and Control function.

Role duties include but are not limited to:

  • Manage the ICS Fund operations governance framework and associated controls to ensure compliance.
  • Review existing policies and procedures, identify gaps, and collaborate with jurisdictional teams to update or create new policies.
  • Track and report on progress, and facilitate operational best practice workshops during policy implementation.
  • Analyze and report operational breaches and errors, track remedial actions to completion, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Ensure delivery of operational MI reports to support risk and oversight committees.
  • Identify opportunities for automation to improve efficiency within operational processes.
  • Implement and oversee the ICS Fund Operations Quality Assurance program, including testing and reporting.

Main Responsibilities and Duties

Management:

  • Manage policies and procedures, producing detailed process documentation.
  • Develop and implement a quality assurance plan for operational excellence.
  • Manage ISAE3402 initiatives, including audits and internal testing.
  • Lead operational workshops and internal communication initiatives.
  • Conduct root cause analyses and track actions for continual improvement.
  • Deliver MI reporting for boards and committees, including automation initiatives.
  • Manage team resources and capacity to ensure service delivery.
  • Identify and implement efficiencies and automation opportunities.
  • Facilitate communication across stakeholders and teams.
  • Represent the team in governance and control initiatives.

Documentation and Analysis:

  • Create documentation to support efficiency and automation initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for process re-engineering and produce business requirements.
  • Complete gap analyses for process updates.

Reporting and Control:

  • Produce and maintain reports based on requirements.
  • Maintain governance documentation.
  • Run operational workshops and prepare updates for stakeholders.

Essential Requirements:

  • Currently at Assistant Manager level or higher.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in fund accounting within fund services.
  • Audit background is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong process analytical skills and critical thinking.
  • Ability to create and interpret data and process visualizations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Business Analysis qualification (advantageous).
  • Familiarity with accounting and investor systems (advantageous).
