Position is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of financial operations and the timely preparation and analyses of all project finances within the NAMC.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance (Honors preferred).
- Professional certification (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent), CA(SA) is an advantage.
- Knowledge of PFMA, Treasury Regulations, Income Tax Act, PAA, PPPF Act, Public Service Regulation, Public Service Act, GRAP Standards.
Experience
Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in financial management, preferably within the public sector.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts for submission to the Chief Financial Officer.
- Preparation of the Annual Financial Statements.
- Ensure the completion of the financial month-end procedures.
- Monitor the amount of any irregular and fruitless, and wasteful expenditure incurred in terms of purchase orders.
- Creditors management.
- Perform creditors' reconciliations, payroll reconciliations, debtor's reconciliations.
- Reconciliation of prepayments to the general ledger.
- Reconciliation of lease schedules to the general ledger.
- Preparation of standing journals monthly required for monthly management accounts.
- Review the invoice register monthly.
- Design, implement and maintain internal controls to prevent errors.
Human Resources Management
- Daily management of direct reports / finance team.
- Performance appraisals completed within the specified period.
- Achievement of targets in the personal development plan.
- Management of time and quality.
- Actions on internal and external audit findings.
- Complete the compliance checklist and provide recommendations to the CFO.
Sustainability Management
Overall input into planning, monitoring, and reporting processes.
Timely input and feedback into documents circulated for comments.
Performing tasks and achievement of deadlines as agreed with the CFO.

Computer literacy: Proficient in MS Office, PASTEL, SAGE and Case-ware.
