Diesel Engine Specialists – Branch Manager

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Business Unit Manager specialized in Diesel Engine Specialist (Heavy Equipment and Vehicles in the mining industry). The manager will be responsible for staff management, key customer relations, meeting targets and deadlines, providing reports to head office, and ensuring customer satisfaction and branch growth.

Qualifications

• Specific engine knowledge required: Deutz, Cummins, John Deere, CAT - non negotiable!
• Experience in underground field service work - preferably 5 years+
• Red Seal Trade Certified as Diesel Mechanic or relevant field
• Medically fit
• At least 5 years experience working on diesel engines of mining equipment and heavy vehicles
• 5+ years in a management position
• Health and Safety
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance techniques
• Excellent customer service and communication skills as representative of the employer customer site
• Effective self-management and performance ownership
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in both Afrikaans and English
• Residing in the region or willing to relocate
