Manager: Depot- Bulk & Corridors

Job Function

To create and maintain budgets, manage the processes, teams and resources for the entire depot, contributing to operational effectiveness, client and customer satisfaction, reduced risk, profitability and compliance to relevant policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Performance Areas:

1. Manage teams, assets and resources to deliver on client and business requirements.
2. Define standard operating procedures and implement and manage end-to-end processes.
3. Monitor and report on progress against operational plans and adjust where required.
4. Formulate a plan which includes milestones and priorities to deliver on operational objectives.
5. Define, manage, monitor and report on budget variances to maximise financial performance.
6. Plan, manage and monitor initiatives to ensure customer service excellence.
7. Implement and manage workforce planning, recruitment, learning and development, performance management, reward and recognition, and employee relations to ensure an optimal working environment.
8. Create an engaging, enabling and productive work climate aligned to the employee value proposition by demonstrating leadership through personal commitment to organisational values.
9. Manage operational risk and risk mitigation initiatives.
10. Provide continuous feedback on task delivery to support decision making.

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor's or equivalent 3-year degree (NQF Level 7).

Experience and Skills Required:

• 4 to 6 years of experience in a similar environment.
• Proficient budgeting and cost management knowledge and/or skill.
• Proficient business and operations management knowledge and/or skill.
• Proficient occupational health, safety, environment and quality knowledge and/or skill.
• Proficient people management and development knowledge and/or skill.
• Proficient labour relations procedures knowledge and/or skill.
