The Special Investigating Unit seeks a talented individual to manage corporate governance and provide high-level secretariat support. This role requires a B Degree in Law or equivalent, with at least five years of relevant experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring effective governance structures and assisting in budget and human capital management.

Main purpose: This role is responsible for managing a wide range of corporate governance requirements, providing high-level secretariat support to the unit’s management and corporate committees, and assisting the Senior Manager: Corporate Secretariat & Governance in supporting the Accounting Authority to ensure broader corporate governance requirements are in place and well managed.
Excellent organisational and time management skills, strong written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, and problem-solving abilities.
Sound knowledge of corporate governance principles, policy development, legislation (e.g., PFMA, treasury regulations, Companies Act, King IV), project management, and related areas. Traits include commitment, attention to detail, integrity, results orientation, team spirit, and decision-making capabilities.
Qualification and experience: B Degree in Law or B. Com Law (NQF 7) or equivalent. At least five years’ experience as a legal advisor to corporate governance structures, with high-level secretariat and reporting experience. Management/supervisory experience for at least two years. Public-sector corporate governance experience is an advantage.
