Job description

Leading financial institution seeks a highly driven analytical individual to manage their actuarial team.

This role is within the life division of the financial industry, requiring coordination of actuarial input into the financial planning process and liaising between the Actuarial, Finance, Claims, and Re-insurance divisions.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Understanding and implementing SAM in the corporate actuarial environment
  • Understanding and implementing current ECAP models
  • Setting up profit testing models
  • Coordinating with risk management to build internal models and risk structures
  • Identifying own risks and providing self-assessment
  • Business planning and forecasting
  • Providing technical support across divisions
  • Monitoring legislation related to insurance and analyzing its implementation
  • Financial reporting, statutory capital calculation, and staff management
  • Strategic leadership and competitor analysis
Required background experience:
  • 5+ years of corporate actuarial experience
  • Qualified actuary
  • At least 2 years of SAM experience
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Access
