Job Summary

Plan, execute and manage the compliance review and monitoring activities developed for the CIB Compliance Monitoring & Testing assurance plan. Provide leadership and direction on key governance and assurance capabilities in order to pro-actively drive the strategic intent of the team.

Job Description

Effective compliance monitoring and testing provides early insight into potential compliance challenges, thus enabling business to resolve issues before they become serious. In this role, we are looking for a professional with expert knowledge of assurance, strong business and compliance knowledge, and good leadership skills.

The ideal candidate should possess the ability to identify and fix problems efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

1. Implement, monitor, and execute the assurance coverage plan and issues management process ensuring that the assurance work conducted is in line with the Compliance Assurance methodology.
2. Conduct ad hoc special monitoring / surveillance as required.
3. Drive the end-to-end execution of reviews as a lead reviewer.
4. Drive the compliance assurance planning and provide guidance in respect of allocated regulatory requirements and policies.
5. Embed the compliance culture in business to manage regulatory and reputational risks and ensure that the relevant regulatory frameworks and compliance policies are implemented.
6. Embed strong governance in the execution of all reviews and in all team deliverables.
7. Contribute towards a high performing team by providing guidance, assistance, and mentorship to other team members.
8. Identify and contribute towards improvements, efficiencies, and value-added projects within the wider team.

Preferred Qualifications and Requirements

CA (SA) preferable or 6 years Auditing experience. Experienced in leading a team.

Education

Bachelor's Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
