Job Description

To manage and oversee all processes, projects, and activities that support the goals set out in the strategy for Support Services with regards to Distribution Services in Tendahealth.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Compliance and Risk Management
  • Ensure legal, statutory, and regulatory compliance are implemented and maintained at defined standards.
  • Implement operational structures, measures, and frameworks for risk control, management, and governance.
  • Contribute to Afrocentric Group's social awareness and corporate citizenship objectives.
  • Financial Management
    • Manage allocated cost centre budgets, variances, reports, and overall financials.
  • Operating Model
    • Develop operational plans supporting defined delivery objectives.
    • Optimize internal processes and supply chain, resolving conflicts.
    • Achieve sales targets and ensure correct member retention based on risk profiles.
  • Operational Implementation of Strategy
    • Implement changes responding to economic conditions, legislation, competition, and industry trends.
    • Develop and execute the business plan aligned with strategic imperatives.
  • Operational Leadership
    • Ensure team performance aligns with human capital frameworks and policies.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Build and maintain relationships with brokers, customers, and industry partners.
  • Position Specific Outputs
    • Manage new business submissions, adviser contracting, and documentation.
    • Oversee system processes, marketing materials, and project reporting.
    • Coordinate system development, maintenance, and legislative compliance.
    • Manage policies, documents, and governance measures.
    • Coordinate projects, resources, and team activities.
    • Update job descriptions, conduct meetings, and oversee contracting and compliance activities.
    • Handle complaints, QA, and external inquiries.
    • Plan monthly objectives, provide performance feedback, and schedule meetings.

  • Knowledge, Skills & Experience
    • Understanding of agile development, legislation, policies, and procedures.
    • Strong communication, task management, business writing, innovation, market knowledge, sales planning, business acumen, and quality orientation.
  • Experience & Qualifications
    • At least 5 years in compliance management, with 3 years in people management.
    • Qualifications including FAIS RE1 & RE5, CMS broker accreditation, FSB registration.
