JOB PROFILE

JOB TITLE: Manager: Compliance

DURATION: Twenty-Four (24) Months Fixed Term Contract

REPORTING TO: Chief Risk and Compliance Officer

JOB GRADE: D1 Minimum Midpoint

SALARY: R 625 259 - R 735 599

NO. OF INCUMBENTS: 01

DIVISION: Office of the CEO

LOCATION: National Office

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To ensure that Seda nationally complies with laws of the Republic and policies approved by the Board are properly implemented by management.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

  1. Develop and review compliance guiding plan and methodologies
  2. Manage the implementation of compliance plan in all Divisions and Provincial Offices
  3. Manage the implementation of non-compliance mitigation programs
  4. Manage and facilitate compliance training and awareness initiatives within Seda
  5. Manage the investigation of reported non-compliance incidents, fraud allegations and report thereon
  6. Manage resources

REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION:

  1. Matric (NQF Level 4) plus B Tech (NQF Level 7) Bachelor Degree (NQF Level 7) in Law/ Commerce
  2. Honours Degree (NQF Level 8) or post graduate Diploma (NQF Level 8) in Law/ Commerce as added advantage
  3. Registration with the Compliance Institute will also serve as added advantage

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:

  1. 6 - 8 years’ experience in Legal, Auditing and or Compliance management with 2 years Managerial experience
  2. Good understanding and knowledge of governance practices, internal control systems
  3. Ability to monitor compliance management activities/programs and implementation thereof
  4. Compliance audit and monitoring practices
  5. Understanding of compliance control practices
