Job Title: Manager: Broker Services and Franchise (Centurion)

Location: Gauteng, Centurion

Description: We are seeking an experienced Broker and Franchise Manager to lead and support our broker and franchise distribution channels. This role involves developing growth strategies, ensuring compliance, and managing relationships to meet business objectives.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Broker & Franchise Strategy Development & Implementation: Collaborate with senior management to create and execute strategies aligned with company goals. Design operational plans to attract, onboard, and retain brokers and franchises. Set KPIs for growth, including recruitment and business volume targets, and monitor progress.
  2. Broker & Franchise Support & Engagement: Develop processes with internal teams to support brokers and franchisees. Create and maintain policy manuals ensuring compliance. Strengthen relationships with distribution teams to maximize market reach and reduce conflicts.
  3. Sales Growth & Market Expansion: Develop growth strategies and tracking mechanisms. Identify new market opportunities and implement expansion plans. Manage sales and marketing budgets, resolve issues, and build strong relationships with brokers and franchisees. Lead franchise growth initiatives and represent the company at industry events.
  4. Broker Development and Training: Work with Learning & Development to create training programs. Develop mentorship schemes and provide ongoing support. Foster broker engagement and development.
  5. Compliance and Risk Management: Regularly evaluate remuneration models and recommend improvements. Ensure brokers are licensed and compliant with regulations. Monitor brand standards and marketing compliance.
  6. Departmental and People Management: Manage and mentor Broker Area Managers. Promote a culture of learning, development, and high performance.
  7. Client Relationship Management: Build industry contacts, develop external communication, and promote the company's brand.
Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Business, Marketing, Insurance, or related field)
  • FAIS compliance (must be registered as a Key Individual with the FSCA)
  • RE 1 certification
  • Minimum of 5 years in insurance management, especially with brokers or franchise networks
  • Proven experience in sales strategy, franchise management, and broker relationships
  • Strong knowledge of insurance legislation, compliance, and governance
  • Experience in developing broker training programs and mentorship initiatives
  • Leadership experience and ability to foster high-performance teams
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools
