Our client is in the automotive industry and is based in South Africa.

They distribute quality branded parts and components into the African market.

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop, implement, and manage sales activities of the internal sales team.
  2. Set and achieve sales targets within the team.
  3. Monitor and drive team performance against targets.
  4. Develop and drive the team to achieve key sales metrics such as order intake and revenue targets, call cycle targets, CRM usage, and range and depth growth.
  5. Identify training needs, develop training plans, recognize top performers, and manage reward and recognition programs.
  6. Address poor performance through coaching and counseling.
  7. Identify key result areas for the sales team and develop measures to monitor these areas.
  8. Communicate key result areas and manage results with the team.
  9. Monitor service levels, establish standards, and set measures.
  10. Provide customer service and sales skills training.
Objectives:

Manage the internal sales team to meet daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets, while developing and monitoring all sales activities. Adapt processes to ensure the team meets industry standards, improve sales turnover and profitability, and support the National Sales Manager. Collaborate with support functions across the business.

Key Performance Indicators:
  • Achievement of divisional sales targets, revenue, and margin.
  • Growth in customer width and depth.
  • Achievement of order intake targets daily, weekly, and monthly.
  • Effective management of sales administration and team management.
Requirements:
Education:

Matric and/or Degree/Diploma in Sales Management.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of internal sales management experience in a medium to large environment.

Languages & Interpersonal Skills:
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • High energy, motivation, professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and a customer-focused attitude.
  • Strong computer skills, attention to detail, results-driven, team-oriented, organized, and entrepreneurial.
Knowledge:
  • Understanding of the automotive aftermarket (advantageous).
  • Experience with CRM systems and internal sales processes.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory acts.
Specific Skills:
  • Excellent communication and business acumen.
  • Leadership, conflict management, and change management skills.
  • Advanced MS Outlook and Excel skills, CRM proficiency.
  • Ability to meet targets and work under pressure.

CTC: R35 - R45 + commission.
